Explain Waza Craft to me

Why in God’s name would I spend $100 extra on a pedal that looks and behaves the same, and don’t tell me the answer is durability because when the nuclear war comes I want to be in a bunker built of boss ds-1’s.

I’m being snotty about it, but I really am curious - why do the Waza pedals demand a premium?
