Midi-controlled analog circuits?
I used to have an ehx memory series pedal which I would frequently send into oscillation and go crazy with it, but have since moved to digital setups with midi control over pretty much everything, and I haven’t heard any digital delay replicate the textures you get from an analog delay when pushed to the max like that in a convincing way. From a little googling I learned that chase bliss had the (now discontinued) tonal recall which was supposedly this: analog delay with digital(and thus external midi) control.
Are there any other pedals that fit in this category? Preferably ones that are pedalboard friendly (looking at you, volante) If not, ELI5 why not? I know the tech exists but don’t really have an understanding of what goes on under the hood
