If you could spend the summer hiking anywhere in North America, where would you go?

My girlfriend and I are very fortunate in that we can both work remotely from anywhere with an internet connection. In 2022 we spent the summer in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington (about 6 months total) and then in 2023 we went to the Alps for 3 months. Our primary goal is to hike & camp as much as we can and generally be outdoors in the mountains. During the weekdays we have to work, but look for small hikes in the afternoon/evenings and longer trips on the weekends.

We're trying to figure out where to go this summer. The current frontrunner is Montana and Alberta/BC for Glacier, Baff, and Jasper. We'd probably hit Tetons and Yellowstone on the way there, but it seems to difficult/expensive to stay there for longer than a week or two. So we're looking at staying near Whitefish in Montana for 6 weeks or so, and then maybe Golden, Canmore, or Calgary for another 6 weeks.

Does anyone have any other recommendations? Is 6 weeks too much in those locations? Where would you stay near Banff/Jasper? I know that at these locations & altitudes, we can really only expect snow-free conditions from mid-June til mid-September with July & August being the best months.

Open to any sort of feedback/suggestions from the community! Thank you!
