Will the belt damage the suit over time?

I was wondering if the belt from my Batman Begins figure will damage the suit over time? I pressed it down a little bit and made sure it’s sitting on the same height as the ones I saw in reviews and so on. I didn’t pushed it down crazy or so just a little bit to make it look right but, will it damage the suit over time?
