Hyatt Regency Polanco - rare upgrade
Just finished a 3 night stay in Mexico City. This reservation was with points and a SUC applied. Little did I know what kind of upgrade it would be.
The morning of the stay before we arrived to Mexico I did the Hyatt mobile check-in. When I went through the process it asked if I wanted the Presidential Suite…..ummm, yes please! I wasn’t holding my breath because things change.
I arrived at the hotel and they confirmed I had the presential suite. It wasn’t ready quite yet and I had to wait about 45 minutes in the club. The horror!
Once the room was ready they took us up to the suite. Sure enough, it was Presidential. The concerige gave us a tour, of which I feel like a map should have been handed out. The place was HUGE at over 2,000 sqft.
Once we were settled in we finally got to take in all the suite ammentaties. The things which stood out:
- A real full fridge
- Stove top and sink
- A LOT of drink cups
- Massive walk-in closet
- Shower had a steam funtion that was wonderful. Got up to 98F!
- Fitness room with treadmill and bike. The treadmill is $24,000 USD!!
All in all, this place was huge for just two people. I think we could have hosted 30 people in this place no problem. Also interesting that there are 9 suites on the top 43rd floor. Ours was taking up 1/4 of the entire floor!
We also got a direct overview of the new Four Seasons being built. FYI - once the FS is finished it will block a good chunk of the view. They are saying completion in 2026. The first tower has the final floor, just no where complete. Tower 2 is maybe halfway constructed.
