Tragic turns in medical field

I just want to help out my juniors. Almost halfway through my internship. I am that kind of person who always loved medicine, surgery and each and every subject of our field. I passed my prof through decent marks. I always wondered why do toppers choose radiology as a brach ( not all definitely but most of them ) currently after going through my OBGY rotations I came to a conclusion that I would rather choose a non clinical brach than gyne ( I am disappointed bcz I always like studying gyne even considered that a pg brach in my final year, and got distinction in my final prof exams ). To all my juniors who loves a subject it's all different when it comes to practice. I knew that before my internship but I did not expect that I would start hating a subject which I got distinction in. Now that I know why do toppers choose radio or other light branches because in the end you have got a family to feed ,parents and your health to take care of and most importantly to enjoy the process you are in . Currently I have a very different perspective my 14 year old would never like and hence the far off polarity in our field.

To be clear - I come from middle class first generation doctor.
