MS SURGERY in southern states vs MD ANAESTHESIA in my home states and a good college ?

Which branch is better salary wise. I never thought of taking anaesthesia but everyone around me is now saying it's better than surgery. Is it really so? I think I'll feel better after taking surgery but is it just my ego and am I actually making a mistake.

The place where I'm getting surgery has no lap surgeries and no SS exposure.
