how to expand answers

hello everyone,i am a first year student currently my first internals are going on yesterday was my physiology paper and after the paper our friends were discussing how they wrote 8-10 pages for a clinical question and others while i attempted the whole paper in 18-20 pages , i've always had a habit to explain things concisely is there any guide to help me
