New to the game, what does it offer?

Hey guys,

Sorry if the question is reposted, I tried to search for other posts before creating one myself.

I guess my question is, what does this game offer in terms of stuff to do in the open world? For example, in Skyrim you could join guilds and stuff. Does this game offer such stuff? From what I have seen KCD2 will have smithing which I am so insanely excited for.
