Lana being branded a "lazy performer"

After the Reading show, I've seen so many people complaining about her performance and calling her a "lazy performer".

I know Lana has a history of being late and, yes, she should try to be on time as many fans pay hundreds and wait hours upon hours to see her, but she has to be given a bit of slack this time around as the set wasn't finished until 20:00 and she was scheduled to be on at 19:50.

The main thing I take issue with is people referring to her as "lazy" or "boring". I think ever since her revival (?), people who haven't really experienced her performing in the past have assumed that she is a pop star and are trying to put her on the same pedestal as people like Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift etc. I think these people are expecting theatrics and for her to put on a show, but that's not who Lana is or what she has ever done. She's always been her best and most confident performing to smaller crowds/venues with minimal choreography. Just her and the mic. Even when she did bigger festivals in the past, like Glasto in 2014, it was still just her - she was the show - there weren't really any crazy outfits or distracting dancers or major set designs. This year, she decided not to do a stadium tour, and I'm glad about that because I don't think that's her kind of environment.

The thing about Lana is that her voice and her words are engaging enough. I'm not trying to attack or put down other artists, but Lana is a very different kind of musician. She is a writer, not a performer and I don't think people understand that. I love her dancers of course and I love her set designs, I love everything. But she just isn't going to make an extravaganza of it all, and I think she shouldn't.

I feel like she's on the road to getting cancelled again unfortunately.
