Canada needs to outlaw surge pricing on food

Does this not come across as an accessibility violation of the charter? Imagine someone elderly, or disabled trying to buy basics like milk and bread. They cannot get to the store outside of "surge" hours, so their bread always costs more.

Or someone who is physically slow grabs milk, but by the time they get to the register, the price has changed, and they can no longer afford it.

Surge pricing on food sets an awful, dystopian precedent that our politicians need to take seriously.

It was annoying for fast food restaurants, but it will be a nightmare for essential items.
