Stuck in Mint HELL porting
I have NEVER come across such a bunch of incompetent people as those that work at mint.
They are unable to answer the simplest of questions and seem to want to ignore just about everything you say to them.
I have now spent 9 days trying to get a failed porting request to work. The company with the number states they have never received any requests from Mint, whilst mint said they have a pending request. I then push harder and they finally tell me the name of the company they have requested the port from, totally wrong company! No wonder my carrier had no requests!
The team behind Alex on Reddit started well by raising a L2 case, but it has been downhill ever since, even to the point where they had the port number in the account field and the wrong pin in the support ticket. They then said it had been escalated to NTC, when I asked what NTC was they told me it was the Philippines National Telecoms Commission! WTF. Clueless, they clearly had no idea and just googled it, I think they meant Number Transfer Center. Absolutely ridiculous!
All they need to do is email the provider, an email address I have given them multiple times, but they refuse to do this for some reason. It is exasperating!
I then thought, perhaps I can port my number to another carrier, such as Google Fi and then port it to Mint (something I have successfully done before), but it seems they have now disabled the transfer button on my account.
I really don't know what to do or say, this is supposed to be a surprise for my son's birthday and they are doing their best to totally ruin it!
