Weird moon this morning

So I pulled an all nighter and noticed earlier that the moon was normal (color and shape) But I noticed as it got lower its shape and color was more and more odd. For a second i started looking for the real moon thinking this wasn’t it, I thought it was going to stretch and split in two, this is Currently in Florida 4:57 Am. Just wanted to hear others thoughts. Guessing it’s due to the California fires.
