All time favorite action/adventure movies that the critics hated

I was wondering about movies specifically in the action adventure genre that you truly got into in spite of most of the critics hating it, either at the time or to this day. Whether it is because it is a full blown guilty pleasure, it managed to connect with you and perhaps other audiences in ways the critic didn't understand, or was just a thoroughly enjoyable movie that didn't need an emphasis on coherent storylines and other factors critics look for. I realize this goes across all genres but was specifically looking for this genre.
