Question abt analyzing music for musical interpretation
I always wondered how does analyzing the music structure correlates to musicality in general. I am aware that it has something to do with pattern recognition and based on what the pattern (rhythmic, chord, etc) gives a hint about the composer's intent.
My confusion lies in the fact I just can't wrap my head around the consistency of this 'rule'. For example, composer adds more ornamentation to the main melody repeated in the A prime section which HAS to mean that they want you to increase the intensity of your playing right? But is that always the case? If I see a pattern similar to another piece, do I always have to assume that I am SUPPOSED to increase the intensity of the musical interpretation?
I am a person who learned musicality from intuition and simply listening to multiple recordings of a song. I did study all the theory RCM levels but am quite slow about the advanced concepts. Any advice?
