Do you avoid baby names associated with quasi-famous people or references?

We've been struggling to come up with a name for our son due to our fairly common surname - whenever we think of a name, the first thing we do is Google it. Most of the names we like are already associated with somewhat famous people, or even book or movie titles or characters. Sometimes it's pretty minor and doesn't matter - an artist we've never heard of, for example - but in other cases it is enough to completely put us off the name. This is especially true if the person did something terrible or committed crimes. Still, these aren't references you'd immediately know off the top of your head, just things that would pop up in a search.

Perhaps this is related to a bigger question of whether or not it's better to have your kid's name be something that is easily searched for or very buried in search results. Almost certain I am overthinking this. Has anyone else found themselves setting aside names because of bad references? I get the sense the internet is making this process much harder than it needs to be. :D
