Will the hospital help an alcoholic dry out?

If I know someone who needs help, wants help, but cannot afford full rehab… would the hospital admit them to help them through the DTs and such for a few days? TIA EDIT thank you all for your advice. I have gathered some resources to point my friend towards that can help them.
