Interracial dating/sex in NYC?

Are white guys here not that into black guys? I've noticed that the white guys who do show interest in me here are foreign visitors or live here but not American. I'm 23 and it seems like with white guys my age who are also fit I'm "just not their type" or not what they are looking for (which literally can be mean anything). Like I get "sorry not my type" a fair amount or just ignored. Then recently been getting blocked a fair amount smh. I've been going to the gym and chopped my long hair to improve appeal, but what do these guys want? How can I get more interest or be those guys' type more?
