OMAD really does work - story & progress update with pics
Hello all,
I first started OMAD in August 2024 with a view to kick-starting a longer weight loss journey. Little did I know it'd actually be the one tool that worked, after trying to shift excess weight my entire life!
I usually eat in the late afternoon / early evening - I find this is best for keeping hunger levels manageable.
Meals are typically 1200-1500 calories, containing a protein-biased but relatively balanced range of foods.
I also throw in the odd 72 hour fast to 'kickstart' things if progress has been a little slower - but on the flip side I also allow myself to have some days off (particularly at weekends / for events like birthdays or holidays etc).
If you're finding it hard, keep going - you'll reap the rewards. If you're new to OMAD, give it a fair chance - nothing else really worked for me, but this is doing a great job and I'm almost at my goal weight.
Exercise is also a key part of my results - I average around 15,000 - 20,000 steps per day, along with a gym session 1-2 times per week.
Here's the numbers:
35M
SW: 336lb (August 2024)
CW: 259lb (January 2025)
GW: 210lb (should be there by end of April 2025)
The first picture was taken before I'd started and the second was taken yesterday. I genuinely feel like a new person.
Obligatory cat included - she's a 13 year old Tuxedo nightmare that enjoys destroying carpets (thankfully she finished off the hideous green carpet in the background of the first picture!)
Good luck everyone, and keep going - if I can do it, so can you.
