Pakistani Dramas, I Don’t Get It 😂

So guys, I just don’t understand why Pakistani dramas are so famous. I mean, I get that everyone has their own taste, and I personally don’t watch them, but every time I see someone watching or talking about one, they all just sound the same(and cringy) to me.

There are like 50 versions of the same drama, just with different faces. Either:

  1. The husband is an alpha male and toxic, and the wife is the mazloom (helpless) one.

  2. The husband is good, but the wife is toxic.

  3. Both are fine, but now the mother-in-law or sister-in-law is the villain.

  4. If none of the above work, some friend will be the problem.

Like, is there a secret template these writers use?

Now, here’s where things get worse. I was scrolling through YouTube Shorts, and this random guy popped up doing absolutely nothing special—just some goofy ass move. The exact same shit I used to do as a kid (don’t judge me). I could have been famous, man. 😭

But the real kicker? The comments. Both genders were loving it, but one girl’s comment hit me hard:

"Whenever I’m depressed, I watch this reel."

Bro. That’s an achievement right there. Call me jealous but If I can make a cringy-ass act so legendary that people use it to cure depression, I know I’ve made it in life.

Now, obviously, not all Pakistani dramas are the same, and I’m sure some are actually good. But I feel like the majority follow the same formula, which is why they all seem repetitive to me or just not so interesting.

What do you guys think? Do you have a family member or friend who's obsessed with these dramas? Any interesting conversations you’ve had with them about this? 😂
