Tomorrow's World Junior Championship gold medal game features two Finnish Penguins prospects.
Those two players are:
-2023 3rd round pick defenseman Emil Pieniniemi, who has had a solid tournament and is currently playing for the Kingston Frontenacs in the OHL. He leads all Kingston defenseman in points and is 5th among all skaters there.
-2023 7th round pick, defenseman Kalle Kangas, who is playing for HPK in the Finnish Liiga. He has 5 assists in 23 games there.
I think there is a good chance we will see Pieniniemi in WBS next season, but Kangas is probably a long shot to play in NA. He didn't look particularly strong in today's game that sent them to the Final, had a couple bad giveaways in OT.
Game is tomorrow at 7:30PM on NHL Network.
