Spending ~$3k on hockey per year, should I cut it down?

I’m a 23 yo May ‘24 grad in O&G going through my expenses over the last 6 months since starting full time, looking for chances to save. Making $102k/year (made about $55k pretax since starting in July), with $30k saved, no debt. I’m overall happy with my finances but always looking for growth and savings opportunities.

I play beer league hockey 3 nights a week, at $2.5k-$3k/yr) it’s my largest single expense behind rent and utilities, food, and gas. I could cut that number down and save some per year by dropping a team, and people have suggested that. But at the same time, all three teams have a bunch of guys also in O&G at the executive and management levels. Currently I’m seeing playing as an investment into career progression and networking. I’m curious how others see this opportunity and if it seems worth it to pay a bit more per year for it?

Obviously it’s also an investment into my health, but I’m asking only about the personal finance/progression side of things.
