Fish considers splashing out of home game pond

I am a fish with only about six months of poker experience, in that time approx. 100 hours of live home games 7 handed, 50c $1 stakes. On a scale of 1/10, how dumb would it be to try my luck at a $1/3 card room? I feel like a guppie asking sharks which coral reefs are safe, but I would rather have a rude awakening in a reddit thread than after setting $400 on fire.
