Threatened Miscarriage at 9 weeks

Woke up from my nap last Tuesday and when I stood up, a gush of bright red blood came out. It soaked my underpants and shorts, the bathroom was like a murder scene. It was all a blur. Good thing my husband was quick and we got to the hospital within 30 minutes. I was crying all the way and at the hospital thinking that we lost our baby. Upon IE at the ER, they said there were clots but good thing that my cervix was closed. The bleeding stopped after an hour and scheduled our ultrasound for the next day. It was the most agonizing wait of my life. Next day, we saw our baby with a very strong heartbeat at 158bpm. To say relief is an understatement. They didn't find any abnormalities nor any SC. Doc thinks it's my placenta so I have a follow up in a week. 🥹 I was discharged 2 days later and now on bedrest at home with a lot of medication. Hoping and praying for the best.

Question: For those who have threatened miscarriage success, is brown discharge normal after? I still have a little when I wipe. Thank you
