e-transfer sent to closed RBC account help!!
I recently switched banks from RBC to TD to take advantage of a promotion. Since then I've left my RBC account to collect dust and they eventually closed my chequing account due to inactivity.
Today someone messaged me and said they e-transfered money into my RBC account, which has auto-deposit. So I check my account through the app for the first time in awhile, and only see my old savings account with 0.14 cents in it and no chequing. I didn't receive an email confirmation either.
The sender says the money was withdrawn from their account so now I don't know what to do or where my money is.
Will it eventually bounce back? or since I had a negative account balance prior to the closure will RBC seize the money?
