Police watchdog deployed to Turnor Lake after fatal vehicle crash involving Sask. RCMP

Saskatchewan's police watchdog has deployed a team of investigators to northern Saskatchewan after a death involving police.

The Serious Incident Response Team or SIRT posted on X, formerly Twitter, that it will be heading to Turnor Lake, Sask., a community approximately 580 km northwest of Saskatoon.

Details are limited but SIRT says there was a fatal motor vehicle accident involving an RCMP vehicle.

There are no details on how many people may be dead or injured as a result of the crash.
