I dont know where to go

So im new to this game and im enjoying it so far. I encountered pyramid head and shot him few times then he just disappeared lol. I checked every room in the hotel (I think so at least) but a lot of them are locked. I also found 2 coins (snake and old man). Im completely lost now so help me plz. Oh yeah i also encountered the fat guy who's throwing up
