new player, im confused

hey! first time posting here, and i’d like to start out by clarifying that i’ve been playing sims since its first console release! but im only on day 10 of playing the sims freeplay, so im still learning the mechanics n such.

i’ve gathered that you have to do events and such to get new hairstyles, but i keep seeing the discussion on the latest release and how racist it clearly is.. but my question is this : i can’t find it anywhere on the online store, to purchase or claim? not sure if it’s free or not: or if i have to be a certain level or something? i’ve made sure my app is updated and everything.. but dont see anything offering these hairstyles or clothing options to me :( can someone help explain!? thank you sorry if this is too long idk how to word it properly 🥺

and i’m only level 8 so far if that helps 😳🥹
