Singapore has been doing well in measurable academic scores internationally. As a teacher, I'm proud of the achievements of our education system. I do agree there is always room for improvement.

Given that our youths are doing well academically, what else should we work on so that we can do even better for the students for the volatile future? The future will need people with more creativity, courage, civic mindedness, communication and collaboration.

I am thinking that risk taking and entrepreneurship skills be part of the skills we impart to the students, although it may be difficult to implement such soft skills lessons. I feel that Singaporeans are less likely to take the path less traveled and find other ways to success.
