Hugh Fleming Covers

I’m a Hugh Fleming fan when it comes to SW comic art. His covers are just so realistic. So much so that it makes me wonder if they were possibly done with early photoshop or some sort of computer assistance, or just drawing? I don’t know much about art so it makes me think. What are your thoughts?
