Rebranding Saved Us… Here’s What I Learned

Starting a clothing brand is one of the most exciting and terrifying things you can do. When I launched 2WEAR, I thought I had it all figured out… cool designs, a clear mission, and a big dream. But our first collection didn’t take off as expected. Sales were underwhelming, and the feedback wasn’t exactly positive.

I had a reality check… People loved the idea of our brand but weren’t happy with the product itself. I spent days going through reviews and talking to customers. The biggest issue? Quality. The manufacturer we were using just wasn’t delivering. Stitching was inconsistent, materials didn’t hold up, print was fading away after a few washes, and it was costing us our reputation.

At first, I thought, "How can we solve this?"... I realized the only way forward was to listen. Customers didn’t want excuses; they wanted us to do better.

We paused everything and went back to the drawing board. It was time for us to rebrand and do better. We made new designs, refined our messaging, and most importantly, found a new manufacturer. After a lot of searching, we partnered with a manufacturer that works with top-tier brands like New Balance and FILA. We were lucky with that one.

The difference was night and day. Our new collections were made with premium materials and great quality overall. Customers notice and we receive great feedback. Suddenly, we built our email list even more, and we have sold out every drop since.

The lesson? Feedback is a gift, even when it’s tough to hear. And don’t settle for “good enough” with your manufacturer. It’s worth the effort to find someone who truly wants you to succeed.

Remember… Your manufacturer is supposed to make your life easier, not more stressful.

I hope this helps some of you. If you’re struggling with quality or figuring out your next move, feel free to reach out or comment. I know how hard it may be to find a reliable manufacturer, I would be happy to help. We still have a long way to go, but I’ve been there, and I’m happy to share what’s worked for me.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!
