What are your thoughts on dogs in cafes?

Where I live there is a really nice and popular Cafe with an outdoor seating area. There is a sign on the door saying to please keep dogs outside but a lot of people ignore it and bring their pooches inside while waiting for takeaway coffee. I'm an animal lover but not a big fan of dogs inside eateries. They are unhygenic. Would it be a Karen move to ask the staff to enforce the dog policy ?

Edit: a lot of people comparing dogs to kids and saying they prefer dogs. Well one is essential for the continuation of our society and one isn't. Also, your dog will be fine if left at home alone but young kids probably not. My question was about dogs, not kids.
