Why don't more people hate Rick?

Rick is the absolute worst. There, I said it. Every settlement or group of people his group encountered was subjected to horrifying loss and destruction that may have never come their way if not for Rick and his band of psychotic misfits. Behind his disguise as a good guy, Rick and the crew come in and impose their will on everyone they meet. Unlike every other group, mass death ensues. How is Rick a hero? He saves a scant amount of people, makes others that don't want to fight, fight, and generally brings chaos with him,wherever he goes. Blowing the bridge may have been his most selfless act, but it ultimately divided the people that he brought together. He's a single-minded asshole who won't take no for an answer, even if he doesn't have an answer himself. Rick sucks...
