Thinkpad Gen3: T14 vs T14s

Hi everyone,

I need your help in choosing the right laptop for my work. I'm not tech savvy, so I appreciate any guidance you can provide.

I work from home and use my laptop as a desktop - not carrying it around. I currently use a T480s, which still works fine, but it's time for an upgrade. My daily tasks include:

  • Using Salesforce in Edge with 15-20 tabs open
  • Having an additional 5-6 random tabs in Chrome
  • 2-3 Zoom calls daily, each around 1hr long
  • 2 external monitors connected
  • Using the laptop for around 12 hours a day
  • No heavy programs

I need a durable laptop with good performance. I have two options that are very similar, but there's almost a $200 difference between them:

Option 1: T14 Gen 3

  • AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO 6850U Processor (2.70 GHz up to 4.70 GHz)
  • 16 GB LPDDR5-6400MHz (Soldered)
  • 512 GB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 TLC Opal
  • Battery: 3 Cell Li-Polymer 39.3 Wh
  • Price: $780

Option 2: T14s Gen 3

  • AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO 6850U Processor (2.70 GHz up to 4.70 GHz)
  • 16 GB LPDDR5-6400MHz (Soldered)
  • 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD
  • Battery: 57 Whr (MM18)
  • Price: $950

Display and touch non touch options are not important to me. Does it make sense for me to pay almost $200 more for the T14s?
