Question about voting and a dumb mistake I made

What should you do if you filled out your mail in ballot and then put it in a drop box in the wrong town? Yeah I was on very tired autopilot while out running errands and I just popped the ballot into the drop box near where we used to live, not in the town we live in now. I haven’t found the right mix of words to try googling for that kind of mix up! I can try calling on Monday to ask but figured I’d see if anyone here knew the answer. Thank you!
