A few things to keep in mind:
None of the rebalances are written in stone. And nothing in the test server matters, only what shows up in production matters. It is not rare that what shows up in production is completely out of left field.
Almost 100% of the gear listed will almost certainly be rebalanced. It is very rare a rebalance is completely canceled. Expect listed gear to be touched, just how much is usually the question.
HOLD on upgrading any of the listed gear. DO NOT invest further at this time. Horde your resources for the next 40 days.
A ton of gear often survives, and remains some level of viability post nerf, all of that is TBD after rebalances are live.

To add a little more:
You are NOT spending on things. You don't own anything in the game. This is not unique to War Robots, as you don't own the movies you've purchased, or the books on your shelves, or any other intellectual property you interact with. (There is a huge rabbit hole with intellectual property, which I recommend looking into a little deeper).
You are spending on ENTERTAINMENT. The question that needs to be asked about every purchase in War Robots is:
"If I spend $10 on the game, do I get $10 of enjoyment out of it?"
The answer to that is personal.
For reference:
Movie tickets are in the $10-$20 range each depending on where you live. That's two hours of entertainment (not including snacks).
Video games are $40-60 and 10+ hours of entertainment
A book is $5-$40 and 8-40 hours
Etc.
