First floor apartment in East Williamsburg, safe?

Heavily considering an apartment around Graham and Skillman, its first floor - how do you feel about that area safety wise? The front of the unit faces Skillman. Coming from a completely different neighborhood so would love some input.

Wanted a unit with a yard for my dog which is why I’m considering first floor to begin with.
