[SSHD] Anyone played this recently? Having troubles

Enemies are reacting way too fast for me to feint them. It's destroying me lmao. I can't switch to a different angle before they match and block me. I get like half a second.

Isn't this a kids game 😭 why am I getting skill checked this hard? Is this normal? I remember it being easier on the wii lol. No controller issues either, wondering if I'm bad or if it's just skyward sword jank.
