old school 1990 artists/songs/albums similar to janet jackson/madonna house eras

i’ve been a bit obsessed with early 90s house music for a while, but i struggle to find new music in that genre. my favourite tracks are ‘throb’ by janet jackson and the whole album janet album frankly, as well as some madonna deep cuts ‘up-down suite’ and her appearance on ‘queen’s english’. i also love ‘in the mix’ that song really bangs.

i also really like house influenced hip hop. like queen latifah’s first album, specifically ‘come into my house’ and i also discovered monie love’s first album and i really like ‘grandpa’s party’.
