This week we celebrate 5 years since Jako’s rescue. Left photo was taken the day after we brought him home. He was severely overweight, only eating human food, unable to perch long (no feet muscles) and living in a molded/rusted cage. Today… he is a happy, sassy and healthy 31-year-old sweet boy.

*Some* of my lucky bamboo collection! I started keeping them after a lady at my dad’s funeral gave me the panda one. I neglected it for months and was annoyed somebody gave me a plant during such a hard time, but now I’ve found peace in caring for them.
